A new study by the University of Essex found that exercising outdoors for just five minutes a day can improve your mental health. I've noticed this works in my own life. However, I do sometimes look at it as all or nothing--if I can't do a full 30-40 minute work out, I don't bother to slip outside for a walk around my yard and a little weed pulling. I need to do that, and I'm going to endeavor to go outside for a least five minutes a day. Even if they weather stinks.
